Yeah, DOOM 1/2 and 64 look very similar. The only real difference, and the only thing making it more similar to the Tyrant, is that the blood 'n guts in its midsection are an open cavity in the case of 64/Eternal, whereas in the original it's more like the Cyberdemon is two parts connected by a bunch of bloody strands.

Totally agree! I also recall early in the Doom 64 development the Cyberdemon has dual rocket launchers. I think it was an actual model if I recall correctly.. I always believed that Doom 64's love for the hell knights barons was to try and balance the game since it was missing a few monsters. Player movement speed is also slowed down a bit.
